Recording Production Against a Sales Order

Recording Production Against a Sales Order

Objective

The Production Board allows users to record finished goods production directly against a customer Sales Order. This helps production, planning, and dispatch teams track order progress, produced quantity, pending quantity, and fulfillment status from one place.

Step 1: Open Production Board

  • From the Mobile Dashboard, tap on the Production Board.

  • This shows all Sales Orders and Work Orders scheduled for production.

Step 2: Select the Machine Section

  • Use the dropdown at the top (e.g., SMT Section) to filter by machine or department.

  • Orders assigned to that section will appear in a list.

Step 3: Choose the Sales Order

  • From the Production Tracker, locate the Sales Order you want to work on.

  • Example: SO No. Nohate/2509/007 for Test Customer (1,000 pcs).

  • Status indicators such as Pending, Partial, and Complete help users understand the current production status.

Step 4: Open Order Details

Tap the Sales Order to view item details.

You can view:

  • Customer name

  • Delivery date

  • Item details

  • Required quantity

  • Produced quantity

Step 5: Record Production

Tap Record Production at the bottom.

On the Enter Production screen:

  • Select the item, such as FG000011_SMT

  • Enter the produced quantity

  • Add rejection quantity and rejection reason, if applicable

Step 6: Save the Entry

Confirm the details and save the production entry.

The system will update:

  • Produced Qty

  • Pending Qty

  • Sales Order status

The status changes automatically from Pending to Partial and then to Complete based on the recorded production quantity.

Step 7: Verify Completion

  • Once full qty is produced (e.g., 1,000/1,000), the SO shows 100% Complete in green.

  • The customer order is now ready for next steps (inspection, dispatch, etc.).

Conclusion

Recording production against a Sales Order keeps order progress updated directly from the shop floor. It helps teams monitor produced and pending quantities, reduce manual follow-ups, and ensure that production status is clearly visible for planning, inspection, packing, and dispatch activities.
