How to Set Priority of Sales Order from Production Board

How to Set Priority of Sales Order from Production Board

Objective

To enable planners and production teams to assign and manage job priorities directly from the Production Board, ensuring that critical orders are identified and acted upon first.

Steps

  1. Go to Planning & Scheduling in the top menu.

  2. Click Production Board.

  1. In the left panel, choose Section View → In Production and keep All Sales Orders selected (or apply filters if needed).

  2. On the Production Board, find the required Sales Order.

  3. Click the Set Priority dropdown on that card.

  1. Select the required priority: Low, Medium, High, or On Hold.

  1. A confirmation popup appears. Click Agree to save or Cancel to discard.

  1. The selected priority now appears on the Sales Order card and will be used across the board for visibility and follow-up.

     9.   Once priority is set, the Production Board automatically updates the status color codes and priority filters, allowing planners to sort or view jobs by urgency — making it easier to focus on critical or delayed orders.

Conclusion

The Set Priority feature helps streamline production planning by improving visibility and control over urgent orders. It ensures timely delivery, optimal resource utilization, and better coordination across teams through dynamic prioritization based on delivery schedules, customer urgency, or production constraints.
