Production Entry – Sales Order Case

Objective

To explain how to record production in Sales Order (SO) mode in ManufApp, where production is logged directly against a customer Sales Order. This is typically used for Make-to-Order, custom, or project-based manufacturing where no internal Work Order is created.

Steps to Record Production in Sales Order Case

  1. Navigate to Production → Production Reports.

  1. Select the Machine, Date, Shift, and Interval.

From the Sales Order dropdown, select the required SO Number.

Click Submit.

  • This opens the Production entry form linked to the SO.

  1. Under the Production tab

Select the Item Code / Item Name.

  • Once selected, the system can auto-fetch details like UOM.

  • Enter the Production Quantity in Alternate and Primary UOM.

  • (Optional) Add remarks such as Custom order execution.

  1. Click Submit to save the entry.

Conclusion

When recording in Sales Order mode, production is logged directly against a customer order. No internal planning is involved, making it ideal for custom or job-shop production. This ensures customer orders are tracked without requiring a Work Order.
