What happens after submitting IQC – how does it impact inventory?
Once the IQC is submitted:
The accepted quantity is automatically moved to inventory and becomes available for production, dispatch, or further processing.
The rejected quantity is kept separate and tracked—it's not added to usable stock.
The GRN status changes from “IQC Pending” to “Completed.”
IQC entries become locked after submission to preserve traceability.
Rejected items can trigger follow-ups like vendor communication, NCR (Non-Conformance Report), or material return, depending on your internal workflow.
This ensures only approved materials enter the system, safeguarding product quality at the source.
