What happens after submitting IQC – how does it impact inventory?

Once the IQC is submitted:

  • The accepted quantity is automatically moved to inventory and becomes available for production, dispatch, or further processing.

  • The rejected quantity is kept separate and tracked—it's not added to usable stock.

  • The GRN status changes from “IQC Pending” to “Completed.”

  • IQC entries become locked after submission to preserve traceability.

Rejected items can trigger follow-ups like vendor communication, NCR (Non-Conformance Report), or material return, depending on your internal workflow.

This ensures only approved materials enter the system, safeguarding product quality at the source.
