Enable Barcode Printing Before IQC Approval

Enable Barcode Printing Before IQC Approval

1. Overview

With this update, users can now print QR/barcode labels immediately after creating an inward entry — without waiting for IQC approval.

This improvement eliminates labeling delays, speeds up downstream processes, and provides greater operational flexibility for stores and quality teams.

Availability: Enabled for all inward entries across Inventory → Inward.

2. Problem Statement

Previously, barcode printing was only allowed after IQC approval. This caused:

  • Labeling delays — teams could not tag materials until inspection was completed.

  • Bottlenecks in downstream processes like storage, internal transfers, and subcontracting.

  • Inefficient resource utilization when IQC was pending for extended periods.

Impact: Slower material flow and delayed availability for production or dispatch.

3. What’s New

3.1 Immediate Barcode Printing

  • The Print Barcode icon is now active as soon as the inward entry is created.

  • IQC status (Pending/Approved) no longer blocks printing.

3.2 Flexible Labeling Workflow

  • Teams can print and paste barcode labels right after goods are inwarded.

  • Labeling can happen in parallel with IQC instead of waiting for completion.

3.3 Improved Tracking & Identification

  • Early labeling ensures that even unapproved material is trackable and identifiable in the system and physically in storage.

4. Key Benefits

Faster labeling — no dependency on IQC status.
Improved operational flow — labeling and inspection can run in parallel.
Better material traceability from the moment goods enter the facility.
Reduced bottlenecks in stores and downstream processes.
