Production Form, CTQ & Work Center Setup Guide

Objective

To:

 • Create a Production Validation Form
• Apply CTQ (Critical to Quality) tolerance logic
• Map it to a Machine
• Validate production entries in Work Center
• Automatically detect Acceptance / Rejection

Step 1: Create Production Form

Go to:
Masters → Production Forms → + Add New

Fill Basic Details
Title
Enter:In-Process Quality Validation
Group By
Select:


 Add Number Fields
Click Add Number Field.
For each field:
  • Enter Label / Key
  • Select Type 
Example:
standard_value
measured_value
temperature_reading
pressure_reading
cycle_time

Add Derived Field
Click Add Derived Field
Fill:
Label: value_deviation
Type:
Derived
Formula: (measured_value - standard_value)


Apply CTQ (If Already Created)
In the CTQ (Derived Only) dropdown:
Select required CTQ.If CTQ is not available in dropdown → you must create it first.

Step 2: Create CTQ (If Not Already Created)

Go to:
Masters → Quality → Critical To Quality → + New

Fill details:
Label
Example: Standard Tolerance
Type
Select:
Example: Range 
Rejection Reason
Select or create appropriate reasons.
Unit
Example: mm
Minimum
Example: -0.05
Maximum
Example: 0.05
Click Submit.


Step 3: Attach CTQ to Production Form

Edit your form and select the newly created CTQ in dropdown.


 Step 4: Submit Production Form

Click Submit.

Step 5: Map Form to Machine

Go to:

Masters → Machines

Open required machine.


Under Production Parameters, select:

In-Process Quality Validation

Click Submit

Step 6: Production Entry in Work Center

Go to:

Production → Work Center

Select machine.

Open Work Order.

When operator starts production:

Production Validation Form opens automatically.

Step 7: Operator Entry Flow

Operator fills:

• Standard Value
• Measured Value
• Temperature
• Pressure
• Cycle Time

System automatically:

• Calculates deviation
• Applies CTQ range
• Shows Accepted / Rejected

If out of range → Rejection triggered
The operator can add Observation if enabled.

Click Save & Continue

 Conclusion

You have successfully:

• Created a Production Form
• Defined CTQ tolerance limits
• Linked the form to a machine
• Enabled automatic validation in Work Center
• Implemented real-time quality control

Flow complete:
Setup → Mapping → Entry → Validation → Control
