How to Create an Item (Specific to Kit)

To guide users on how to create a new Item in ManufApp under the Item Type = Kit. This ensures that bundled products like packaging kits, assemblies, or grouped materials can be tracked and managed efficiently.
📝 Steps
Go to Masters → Items.

2. Click + NEW to open the Add New Item

3. Fill in the details:
Item Code → Enter a unique code (e.g., IPH-BOX-001).
Item Name → Enter a descriptive name (e.g., iPhone Packaging Box Kit).
Item Group → Select the relevant group (e.g., iPhone Box).
Unit → Choose the correct unit of measurement (e.g., piece).
(Optional) Add tags or image for easier identification.


4. Click Submit.
A confirmation message will appear showing the Item Code created successfully.

✅ Conclusion
When you create an Item under a specific Item Group, the Item Type (Kit) is auto-assigned. This makes item creation faster, reduces errors, and ensures kits are ready to be used in production, BOMs, and inventory workflows.
