How to Add a Drawing to an Item


Objective

To ensure each item carries its correct and updated engineering drawing, enabling accurate production, quality inspection, and revision control across the shop floor.

Steps:

  1. Go to Masters → Items.



  1. Open the item from the list.



  1. In the Drawing panel, choose either:

    • Upload to add the drawing file, or

    • Image URL to link an online drawing.



  1. Click Save.

  2. Confirm that the drawing preview appears in the Item tab.

By attaching the drawing to the item, you ensure that the correct visual reference is always available to production, planning, and quality teams. This supports accurate execution, reduces errors, and maintains proper revision control throughout the manufacturing process.
