How to Add Work Instructions to an Item
Objective
To attach the correct work instruction document to an item so operators can access the latest approved process steps during production.
Steps
Go to Masters → Items.
Open the item from the list.
Click the Work Instructions tab.
Click Edit, then Click to Upload.
Upload the PDF/JPG file.
Save the item.
Confirm the file appears in the Work Instructions tab.
You should now see:
File name
View
Download
Delete options
Conclusion
Work instructions are now linked to the item and available for operators directly from the Work Instructions tab during production. This ensures consistent execution, reduced errors, and proper process control.
