The purpose of adding a new warehouse in the system is to:
Define and manage storage locations for Raw Material (RM), Work-in-Progress (WIP), Finished Goods (FG), Consumables, or Scrap.
Configure partner linkages (suppliers, customers, subcontractors) for smooth transactions.
Set up GRN numbering rules (prefixes & sequential logic).
Define pre-approval checks (Quality, Barcode Validation, Item Count) for inbound and outbound flows.
Attach item group tags for better classification into Approved vs Unapproved stocks.
This ensures traceability, compliance, and efficient stock movement across the supply chain.
Click on the + NEW button to create a warehouse.
Label → Enter warehouse name (e.g., Main FG Warehouse).
Linked Partners → Select suppliers, subcontractors, or customers relevant to this warehouse.
GRN Sequential Setting →
Check Generate GRN sequentially.
Click Add Params to define checks before transactions are approved.
For each transaction type:
Request Type → Choose Inward or Outward.
Partner Type → Select Customer, Vendor or Subcontracting Customer
Approval Check → Choose from:
Quality Check
Barcode Validation
Validation of Item Count
👉 Example:
Inward → Subcontracting Customer → Barcode Validation
Inward → Vendor → Quality Check
Under Approved → attach relevant item group tags (e.g., Finished Goods, WIP).
Under Unapproved → attach tags for blocked or hold stock (e.g., Inspection Hold, Rejected).
Click Submit.
The new warehouse will appear in the Warehouses List with assigned partners, tags, and pre-approval parameters.
By creating warehouses with structured labels, GRN prefixes, pre-approval flows, and item tags, the system ensures:
Clear segregation of materials (Approved vs Unapproved).
Standardized GRN tracking for audit and compliance.
Controlled stock movement with quality and validation checks.
Seamless partner integration, avoiding errors in inward/outward transactions.
This process establishes a robust warehouse structure, enabling traceability, accuracy, and efficiency across the manufacturing supply chain.
