Easy Daily Production Plan Creation

Objective

Enable planners to quickly convert sales orders into production plans, allocate quantities across dates, and track planned, produced, and remaining quantities in one place.


Step-by-Step Process

1. Navigate to Daily Production Plan

Go to Planning & Scheduling → Daily Production Plan.


2. Start Creating a Plan

Click Add Plan and choose:

  • Plan by Date – manually plan items for specific dates.

  • Plan by Order – fetch items directly from Sales Orders and plan in bulk.


3. Select Sales Orders

In Bulk Plan – Select Sales Orders:

  1. Select the delivery date range.

  2. Click Fetch SOs.

  3. Select required Sales Orders.

  4. Click Next.

The system loads all order items with required quantities.


4. Enter Bulk Production Plan

In Enter Bulk Production Plan:

For each item:

  • Select the Process

  • Choose the Production Date

  • Enter the Quantity

Helpful options:

  • Autofill quantity for faster planning

  • Bulk date selection



5. Hidden Items Handling

When an item is fully planned against the order quantity, it automatically moves to Hidden Items to keep the screen clean.

Users can:

  • Click Show Hidden Items to view them again

  • Continue planning only the remaining items


6. Save the Plan

Click Save to finalize the production plan.

The planning board updates to show:

  • Total Planned Quantity

  • Produced Quantity

  • Shortfall 


6. Use Filters for Better Planning

Use Filter By options to customize the view:

  • Section View – group items by process/section

  • Order View – view planning by sales order

  • Show Unplanned Days – highlight days where no production is planned

  • Day View / Week View – change the planning timeline

These filters help planners quickly identify gaps and adjust production schedules.
