How to Re-Parent a Machine in ManufApp


Re-parenting a machine helps organize your production setup by assigning child machines under a logical parent group. Follow these steps to re-structure your machine hierarchy.

Step 1: Go to Machines

  • Navigate to Masters > Machines



Step 2: Identify the Machine to Re-Parent

Find the machine you want to move (e.g., MWIP-10).


Step 3: Click the Re-Parent Icon

In the Actions column, click the ↔ (Re-Parent) icon next to the machine.



Step 4: Select New Parent

In the popup window, use the dropdown to choose the new parent machine.



Step 5: Confirm the Change

Click Re-Parent to apply.

The machine will now appear nested under the selected parent.
