How to create Machines and Child Machines in ManufApp
This guide walks you through the process of creating machines, defining child machines, and configuring them for production tracking in ManufApp.
Step 1: Go to Machines
Navigate to Masters > Machines
Step 2: View Existing Machines & Add New
On the Machines page, you'll see a list of existing machines.
Click on the β+ Newβ button at the top right to add a new machine.
Step 3: Add Machine & Define Child Machines
In the Create Machine screen:
Enter the Machine Name (e.g., Cutting Section).
If you're adding child machines, select the Parent Machine (e.g., Cutting Section).
Click β+ Add Childβ to define child machines under the selected parent.
Add child machines like Cutting 1 and Cutting 2.
Once the machine hierarchy is set, click Next to proceed.
Step 4: Configure Production Recording
Select the option to Record Production for the added machines.
You can enable recording for Work Order, Sales Order, or None.
Click Next.
Step 5: Set Machine Parameters
Click on the Set Parameters tab.
Choose parameters relevant for each machine:
Scrap, Energy, Manpower Availability, etc.
After setting parameters, click Submit to complete the setup.

Your machine and any child machines are now successfully created. They are ready for:
