How to Change QC Range to QC Parameter in ManufApp

How to Change QC Range to QC Parameter in ManufApp

ManufApp allows you to define QC Parameters with different control limits based on item tags, instead of using a single fixed range. This gives more flexibility and accuracy during quality checks.

🔎
For a quick overview, see: What is a Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameter in ManufApp, and why is it important?

Step 1: Go to Quality Master

Navigate to:
Masters  > Quality

This opens the list of quality checks under Critical to Quality.

Step 2: Open the QC Entry You Want to Edit

Scroll down to the “Critical To Quality” section.

Click on the QC parameter you want to update (e.g., Weight in kg).

Step 3: Click Edit

In the parameter detail screen, click the Edit button.

You will now see:

  • Item Tag (e.g., RM Metal Sheets)

  • Min and Max fields

  • Unit of measure (kg)

Step 4: Update the Range Based on Tag

Update the Minimum and Maximum values as needed.

In this example, the range was changed to:

  • Min: 40

  • Max: 60

Step 5: Click Submit

After editing, click Submit to save changes.

ManufApp will now apply this range only when items matching that tag are inspected.

✅ What’s the Benefit?

By using item-tag-based QC parameters, you avoid creating multiple duplicate entries and ensure:

  • The right checks for the right items

  • Better control and traceability in quality

  • Flexibility for evolving product lines
