ManufApp allows you to define QC Parameters with different control limits based on item tags, instead of using a single fixed range. This gives more flexibility and accuracy during quality checks.
🔎 For a quick overview, see: What is a Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameter in ManufApp, and why is it important?
Navigate to:
Masters > Quality
This opens the list of quality checks under Critical to Quality.
Scroll down to the “Critical To Quality” section.
Click on the QC parameter you want to update (e.g., Weight in kg).
In the parameter detail screen, click the Edit button.
You will now see:
Item Tag (e.g., RM Metal Sheets)
Min and Max fields
Unit of measure (kg)
Update the Minimum and Maximum values as needed.
In this example, the range was changed to:
Min: 40
Max: 60
After editing, click Submit to save changes.
ManufApp will now apply this range only when items matching that tag are inspected.
By using item-tag-based QC parameters, you avoid creating multiple duplicate entries and ensure:
The right checks for the right items
Better control and traceability in quality
Flexibility for evolving product lines
