TSC TE244 Printer Setup Guide for ManufApp Sticker Printing

Objective

This guide explains how to set up the TSC TE244 label printer on Windows, configure the required sticker size, and print stickers correctly from ManufApp.


Step 1: Download and Install the Printer Driver

Download the TSC TE244 printer driver before connecting the printer.

  1. Download and run the driver installer.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

  3. Connect the TSC TE244 printer to your computer using the USB cable.

  4. Switch on the printer.

  5. Confirm that the printer is visible in Windows.


Step 2: Open Printers & Scanners

  1. Press the Windows key.

  2. Search for Printers & scanners.

  3. Open the printer settings page.

Step 3: Select the TSC TE244 Printer

From the list of available printers, select:

TSC TE244
or
TSC TE244 (Copy 1)

The printer name may vary depending on your Windows setup.

Step 4: Open Printing Preferences

Inside the selected printer settings page:

  1. Click Printing preferences.

  2. The printer configuration window will open.

This is where the sticker size and label settings are configured.

Step 5: Create a New Label Stock Size

In the Printing Preferences window:

  1. Open the Page Setup tab.

  2. Click New... to create a custom label size.

  3. Enter a name for the new stock size, such as:

76.2 mm × 38.1 mm Label

Step 6: Enter the Label Dimensions

Enter the dimensions according to the physical sticker roll being used.

Click OK to save the new stock size.

Important Notes

  • The Width and Height must match the actual sticker size.

  • Select Die-Cut Labels when using pre-cut label rolls.

  • Keep the exposed liner width at the default value unless the label roll requires a different setting.

Step 7: Print the Sticker from ManufApp

Once the printer and label size are configured:

  1. Open the required sticker in ManufApp.

  2. Click Print.

  3. In the print dialog, select the TSC TE244 printer.

  4. Select the custom paper size created earlier.

  5. Check the preview before printing.

Troubleshooting Tips

Issue

Recommended Action

Printer shows offline

Restart the printer and reconnect the USB cable. If required, reinstall the driver.

Sticker size does not match

Verify that the stock size in Printing Preferences matches the physical label dimensions.

Print is cut off or misaligned

Adjust the scale and margin settings in the print dialog.

Print is too small

Increase the scale value and check the preview again.

Driver is unavailable

Download and reinstall the driver using the TSC driver link provided above.


Final Check Before Printing

Before printing stickers from ManufApp, confirm that:

  • The TSC TE244 printer is connected and online.

  • The correct custom label size is selected.

  • Pages per sheet is set to 1.

  • Margins and scale are adjusted correctly.

  • The sticker preview fits properly within the label area.
