How to Use the MRP (Material Resource Planning) Module in ManufApp

🎯 Objective

To guide users on how to use the MRP (Material Resource Planning) module in ManufApp for planning material requirements against active Sales Orders. This ensures accurate visibility of shortages, inventory availability, and procurement needs.


Step 1: Navigate to the MRP Section

  • Go to Orders β†’ MRP




Step 2: Select Date Range and Fetch SOs

  • Select the date range for which you want to plan materials (e.g., 01 Jul 2025 to 04 Oct 2025).

  • Click Fetch SOs to load sales orders within the selected period.




 
Step 3: Select Sales Orders

  • Check the boxes next to the SOs you want to include in planning.

  • Click Select SOs and then click Next to proceed.





 Step 4: View MRP Based on BOM

  • You’ll see a breakdown of materials based on BOM:

    • Gross Demand

    • Inventory Available

    • To Produce

    • To Order

  • Switch views between:

    • List of FGs

    • List of WIPs

    • List of RMs
      (Use tabs on the top-right)




 Step 5: Check Raw Material Shortages

  • Go to the List of RMs tab to view RM shortages.

  • You will see:

    • Item Code & Description

    • Inventory vs. Requirement

    • Shortage quantity

    • Unit of measure


 Step 6: Export MRP Data

  • As soon as you click Save, the MRP summary will be automatically downloaded as an Excel file.

  • Your file will include columns like:

    • Item Code

    • Item Type & Group

    • Gross Demand

    • Fulfillable Qty

    • Inventory

    • Shortage


βœ… Bonus: Create Purchase Order Directly

  • If required, after saving, you can directly click Create Purchase Order from the same screen.
